2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you're a new customer purchasing a subscription for the first time, you're eligible for a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase.

  • Request must be made within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase date
  • Your account must not have been terminated for Terms of Service violations

2.2 What Happens After Refund

Once your refund is approved:

  • Your Pro subscription will be canceled immediately
  • You will lose access to Pro features (PDF download, sharing, cloud storage)
  • Your resume data will remain accessible in the free builder
  • Refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days

3. Trial Period Refunds

If your subscription includes a trial period, you may cancel at any time during the trial to avoid charges.

3.1 Trial Cancellation

  • Cancel before the trial ends → No charge, no refund needed
  • Cancel after trial ends → Charged for subscription, 14-day guarantee applies
  • You can cancel via account settings or by emailing support

3.2 Trial with Upfront Fee

Some trials require a small upfront fee (e.g., $1-$2 for verification). This fee is:

  • Refundable if you cancel before the trial ends

4. No Refunds After 14 Days

5.2 Service Interruptions

If the Service is unavailable for extended periods due to our fault:

  • Short outages (under 24 hours): No refund, but we may extend your subscription
  • Major outages (over 48 hours): Pro-rated refund or subscription extension at our discretion

5.3 Account Termination

If we terminate your account for violating our Terms of Service:

  • No refund will be issued
  • You remain responsible for all charges incurred before termination

    • Funds appear in your account within 5-10 business days (depending on your bank)

  • Approximate purchase date (if known)
  • Last 4 digits of payment card (for verification)
  • Brief reason for refund (optional)

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank without contacting us first, your account will be immediately suspended pending resolution.

7.1 Why Chargebacks Harm Both Parties

  • Chargebacks incur fees ($15-$25) that we must pay
  • Repeated chargebacks can result in us losing our payment processor
  • It's slower than requesting a refund directly (chargebacks take 30-90 days)

7.2 If You Filed a Chargeback

If you've already filed a chargeback:

  • Email us immediately at support@cvlevel.com
  • We can provide documentation to your bank to expedite resolution
  • If the chargeback was due to a billing error, we'll work with you to resolve it

7.3 Fraudulent Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback after receiving the service without contacting us may be considered fraud. We reserve the right to:

  • Contest the chargeback with evidence of service delivery
  • Permanently ban your account
  • Pursue legal action in cases of repeated fraudulent chargebacks

8. Cancellation vs. Refund

It's important to understand the difference:

Refund

  • • Returns your payment
  • • Immediate loss of access
